Our Commitment

ADRA Cayman will not volunteer your personal information to any third party without your permission. We are committed to protecting the privacy of our donors, supporters, volunteers, and other stakeholders. We value the trust of those we deal with, and of the public, and recognize that maintaining this trust requires that we be transparent and accountable in how we treat the personal information that you choose to share with us.

Personal information is the information that relates to you as an individual. We will only request information from you that relates directly to the resources or services we are providing to you and we will keep that information active only as long as the uses for which it has been collected are relevant.

We collect your information to identify your interest and needs to better understand how we can improve our humanitarian services to improve the lives of all in need. These include:

  • To respond to request for resources
  • To process payments and other forms of donations
  • To meet compliance e such as required by our jurisdictions
  • To communicate relevant information that will benefit your interest and to provide better services to the community
  • To enable us to customize our website content to meet your interest.
  • We do not sell or market your personal information to anyone.

How Do We Use and Disclose Your Personal Information?

We will not volunteer your personal information to any third party without your permission. In certain limited circumstances, where it is required by law to meet our Non-Profit Compliance Financial reporting requirements it may be necessary to share the information with a third-party service provider on a confidential basis. When this occurs, we provide only the information that is required to provide the services and strict terms of confidentiality are established.

Retention of Personal Information

We will not retain personal information indefinitely. Any donor or volunteer can request their personal information to be discarded at any time. Files are then destroyed or deleted, except for those on backup drives and financial records which, in accordance with the law, must be retained. Archived information is not accessible for or marketing purposes. Any disclosure of your personal information will be in accordance with current Cayman Islands Data Protection Law.
